About Us

The Origin of Thrive on The Rock

Thrive on the Rock is based on the parable of the wise builder found in the Gospel of Matthew (7:24-27) where Jesus compares two builders—one who constructs his house on a solid foundation of rock and another who builds on the unstable ground of sand. The wise builder represents those who not only hear Jesus’ teachings but also put them into practice, creating a foundation of faith that can withstand life’s challenges and thrive. In contrast, the foolish builder symbolises those who hear the teachings but fail to apply them, resulting in a weak foundation that crumbles when faced with difficulties.

This parable emphasises the importance of building one’s life on the solid rock of faith in Jesus Christ and obedience to his teachings for enduring spiritual strength and resilience in life. As the name depicts Thrive on the Rock strives to build and nurture children’s learning on Christ, the Word of God who is our solid rock.

We believe that parent, children and communities can thrive in life with a solid foundation of faith, compassion, and joy, grounded in the teachings of Jesus Christ.
